This is the last blog entry today but very important in my opinion.
I would like to announce that Simmarket.com has a sale for Majestic Dash8 which costs (till 30.11) 50.55 euro.
Well this is the price I paid just now with 23% taxes and 1.5% of Paypal fee.
As you know, while ago I added a vote poll to the website to find out which aircraft will be more popular - Dash8 or FSLabs A320. Initially I planed to keep this poll open till the end of November but with the order for Dash8 today it is closed now.
The survey is closed now with following results:
FSLabs A320 - 103 votes (62%)
MJC Dash8 - 63 votes (38%)
Quiet huge difference but to be honest I expected results 85 to 15% :-)
However, survey and the results of it were only one factor of few I took into account.
For example the other one was my own preference. I struggled with the thoughts if I want completely new type (in terms of size, dynamics, etc.) or I want something similar to 737 series.
Well, I was more for Dash8 but still I wasn't sure if I really want it. I know that both airplanes are great addons, with fantastic approach of their development teams in terms of adding all details.
Anyway, Simmarket with their sale helped me to make the decision. I'm not gonna lie, price was also one factor, maybe not so important like the two I described above but still, taken into account.
So, it is a majestic time!
I know that some of you will be happy, some might be sad or mad on me but choice was made and there is no return. :-)
Be aware that it will takes several weeks probably before you will see first Dash8 livery. First I need some time to learn how to operate this bird, then I will have to make some paint kit tests to find out how it looks like, if there any differences between what I see in paint kit and then on 3D model in simulator. I hope there is not so many distortions and differences like in PMDG planes, especially in 737. Believe me, it might be a pain in the...
If you would like to make a request for any Dash8 repaint, please expect them not earlier than in second half of January. Terms will be the same as for other aircrafts.
One of the main rules - requests are reserved for donors only.
If you would like to make donation in return of request, please contact me first via email at fsxliveries@gmail.com for exchanging all details.I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Since we are into donations subject, I will take the opportunity to remind a tiny but very important detail.
All donations are fundamental reason why this library is still online and expanding with new airplanes and new files.
If you would like to make donation without requesting any repaint, they are also welcome.
It doesn't matter if you can do 5 or 50$, I really appreciate every single donation made by you, guys.
I reinvest it in sim anyway, including new aircrafts or hardware which will help me to cut the time needed to finish every single file. That's not all, I have a bigger plans for FSXLiveries.com but it is too early to talk about details. I should be ready to share some of them in January but ETA might change so no promise can be given.
I have been asked if there is a way to donate like monthly subscription on Twitch and if I will start streaming some content there.
Paypal has the feature of monthly payments so you can set even some small amount and send it automatically every month.
Simply on the page where you put the amount you want to send, make sure that "Make this recurring (monthly)" is ticked.
When it comes to streaming on Twitch, at this moment I am unable to stream any content. There is one reason - my network speed has 1 Mbps of upload which is insufficient for smooth streaming. I will switch my plan to higher one next year, I just don't know when I will do it.
OK pilots. end of the news for today.
